🌱 Beginner Level

Korea is a country with a vibrant traditional heritage and a dynamic contemporary culture. This beginner course provides a foundation for understanding and communicating in Korean, focusing on everyday interactions and basic grammar.

Units: 39 units (1–2 hours each)

🎯 Aims

• Develop effective communication skills in Korean
• Gain insight into Korean sentence structures and patterns
• Understand the interconnection between language and culture

Greetings, Campus Life, Family, My Day, Korean Culture, Food, Hobbies, Seoul Life, Holidays, and more.

🧩 Grammar Focus

• Polite and informal speech levels
• Particles (topic, subject, object, locative, time, inclusiveness)
• Numerals (sino & pure numbers)
• Pronouns, adjectives, adverbs, connectives, classifiers, verbs

By the end of this level, learners will be able to introduce themselves, describe daily routines, and engage in basic conversations in Korean.

🌿 Intermediate Level

This level expands your communication skills and cultural understanding. Learners will develop the ability to discuss familiar topics, navigate social situations, and express personal opinions in Korean.

Units: 44 units (1–2 hours each)

🎯 Aims

• Use Korean to communicate effectively with others
• Appreciate the cultural contexts in which Korean is used
• Reflect on your own culture through the study of another
• Develop cognitive, learning, and social skills
• Apply Korean to work, study, or leisure

📚 Topics

Weather and Seasons, Clothing and Fashion, Travel, Markets, Birthdays, Holidays, Hospitals, Jobs, and Cultural Differences.

🧩 Grammar Focus

• Particles and suffixes (topic, subject, object, locative, implement, etc.)
• Connectives and linking structures
• Verbs and classifiers (using sino and pure numbers)
• Extended sentence structures and usage of honorifics

🌺 Advanced Level

This course helps learners achieve fluency and cultural depth. Through exploring literature, media, and contemporary issues, students refine their ability to analyse, discuss, and write in Korean with accuracy and sophistication.

Units: 50 units (approx. 1 hour each)

🎯 Aims

• Achieve fluency in both spoken and written Korean
• Understand advanced grammar and stylistic nuances
• Analyse authentic texts and media
• Explore social and cultural issues through Korean language

📚 Topics

Interpersonal Relations, Noraebang, Humor in Life, Korean Festivals, Proverbs, Health, Advertisements, Korean Lifestyle, and Traditional Stories such as Heungbu and Nolbu.

🧩 Grammar & Language Focus

• Advanced verb classes (action & descriptive verbs)
• Extended sentence endings and tone adjustments
• Understanding spoken vs written forms
• Exposure to Hanja (not required for production)
